WELCOME BACK! as I discussed briefly the Korean wave (episode 1: the beginning of Korean wave http://ffranceee.blogspot.com/2017/09/korean-wave.html / episode 2: the half-blood — being an artist and actor http://ffranceee.blogspot.com/2017/09/korean-wave-2.html ) which mentioned all about the Korean drama fever back then in Thailand. You can see that Thailand and Korea are growing up together through various entertainment channels until now. So let me take you back to when Korean drama began to fade and the Korean music wave replaced.

In 2008, TVXQ. The beginning of the K-Wave in Thailand.
TVXQ! or Dong Bang Shin Ki consists of Five members; U-KNOW Yunho, MICKY Yuchun, XIA Junsu, HERO Jaejoong and MAX Changmin (At those time their stage name was so fancy notwithstanding, nowadays it was kinda weird.) This Korean group created a massive phenomenon in Thailand, Their fan club called ‘CASSIOPEIA’ cover all around Southeast Asia, the official group color is red.
The massive group of fan club was gathering around Parc Paragon for the pre-sale TVXQ's concert tickets event in 2007.
P.S. I think I forgot to mention about this crucial information. Korean idol has the significant symbol which differs from any other countries idol. They have official band’s color and official fan club name. As we know, almost every Korean singles have outstanding choreography even if it is a sad song, idols still manage to dance anyway so Korean entertainment TV channel such as MBC, KBS, Mnet provide a stage for an idol to show their performance and compete for the TV Show’s trophy in every week.
Before debut, all boys and girls first had to audition to be a trainee in some company so that in the future, individuals will be selected to place in a group waiting to be promoted and they could debut. Not everyone will be selected, we can see in the idol’s people when they debuted that the training time of them was not the same. It sometimes depends on the skills you have or even your look, if you look more attracted than others, that could rise your opportunity to debut first. Normally the training time will be 2-7 years, some idols were trained to sing and dance every day in the company for many years more than 10 hours a day.
SUPER JUNIOR, the first idol group to have the most members; 13 boys. Usually, at that time, the group will not be more than 7 people. So SJ was quite too much. At first, SM Entertainment, the owner company of this boy group decided to risk for the last time, if this new single was not hit, SJ will be disbanded. Then in 2008, SORRY SORRY was released, And Super Junior’s name became a topic for the public.
BIGBANG, The new hip-hop music wave just hit Korea when Bigbang debuted. Consists of five talented members; Main vocals Taeyang and Daesung, Sub Vocal Seungri, Main rappers Top, and G-Dragon. Their official fan club name is VIP. Today, all five members had their own solo album then sometimes coming back with the band’s album. Big Bang's song described to be mainly Hip-Hop, Future EDM, with easy dance choreography and ear-worm tempo such as BANG BANG BANG.
FYI, G-DRAGON is the iconic fashionista in Korea and together with his talented artist skills, he composed more than 100 songs and gained the copyrights fees more than ten million won every month, that makes him rank in the top of rich K-pop idol.

2PM, the first Korean boy band that Thai member also included, Nichkhun Horavechakul. He passed the audition in Thailand and flew for a training programme in Korea for many years and came out to be a Korean star. At the time he was so popular in Thailand due to the fact that no one had seen Thai people in Korean music industry before. Nichkhun is the inspiration to many other young Thai kids to seize the dream to be Korean idol like him.
You might be imagined why there were only Boys in the house, actually no bias! next episode will be talking about Korean girl group GIRLS’ GENERATION which is my favorite Korean idol group (and also talk about some others.)
