KOREAN WAVE 4

WELCOME BACK HERE AGAIN! a couple weeks ago I started to show you about some facts of Korean pop music wave in Thailand. Back then, the methods of promotion did not powerful as nowadays. about decades ago that Youtube has just started operating their website as an online platform to upload down the video which can be watched worldwide, those time the video quality was maximum at 480p (whereas we have 4k today). imagine watching people you love with their face cracked (but he/she still looked so good I don’t know why) fans had to follow the update by fighting for the tickets to watch their idol’s concert and keep an eyes on the newspaper or specific website to know where their idol will go on which day.

At the first period of the boom of k-pop, Male idols were so popular among fangirl, but since 2007, it was the year when girl-group-legend was born. No one did not recognize these name!

GIRLS’ GENERATION

AKA SNSD (So Nyeo Shi Dae) Was debuted on August 5th, 2007 with 9 members under SM Entertainment, the same company as famous senior idols like SUPER JUNIOR and TVXQ!

Girls’ generation was a group that debuted in the era when boys were so famous and the majority of fans were a girl, but with the charm and talented, they managed to get the popularity. But unfortunately, also lots of anti-fans.

Nine members consist of Native Koreans and some of them are Korean who was Born and raised in the United States. Imagine one who was living in an environment that let you freely do everything, say anything. So when they come to Korea, they started to adapt themselves but as they were living in The U.S. all their life, thus, they still did not know about some manners. That was the reason Girls’ Generation got a lot of anti-fans.

When the time passes, they tried hard to prove themselves that they are not selling only their visual but they had been training for many years to sing and dance well.

their famous singles such as GEE, GENIE, THE BOYS, I GOT A BOY, and so on

Girls’ Generation was the phenomenon of Korean girl group and was being an idol of girls nationwide. after GEE released in 2009, A whole group became so popular and got a chance to debut in Japan.

In 2011, They were invited to appear in an American TV Programme ‘Late night show with David Letterman’ to perform their new single ‘The Boys’

CONFLICT

Jessica Jung, In early 2014, she established a fashion brand, Blanc & Eclare. Later that year, she was dismissed from the group Girls' Generation due to conflicts between the group's schedule and her own business activities. Following the dismissal, Jessica ended her contract with S.M. Entertainment and signed with Coridel Entertainment in 2016, prior to the release of her debut solo album, With Love, J.

So from then, Girls' Generation has eight members and came up with their new single 'Party' --  keep promoting without Jessica. And just celebrated their 10th year anniversary last August.
